Interlimb Neural Coupling, also known as opposing joint training is a useful tool to help clients with joint injuries, stroke rehab, amputations, Parkinson's, post surgical strength training, and more.
This form of assessment and work with the body is based on both biomechanical and neurologic pathways. In its simplest form, it allows us to work on the opposite “side” of the body, moving it in an “opposing” direction to create powerful changes in pain, range of motion and strength.
Though based on more complicated neural pathways and sounds complicated, it’s really, really easy to implement for you and your clients! Join this quick 30 minute live to learn more!
What you'll learn
In this session we will:
Understand the science behind interlimb neural coupling
Learn which joints oppose one another
Review movement oppositions
Put into practice this theory to improve pain and range of motion
