Mind in Motion: Mastering Dual Tasking

About live session

This workshop will improve your understanding of cognitive-motor dual tasking by learning when to apply it effectively, how to stack and load complexity in tasks, and which brain centers are impacted during these activities. This knowledge will enhance your ability to design drills that optimize cognitive and motor performance.

You’ll discover how to:

  • Connect the visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems for better movement
  • Improve strength, mobility, and balance
  • Apply brain-based drills for memory, focus, and resilience
  • Integrate these strategies into FitSprings, Pilates, and general fitness work

What you'll learn

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  1. Understand the principles of cognitive-motor dual tasking.
  2. Identify scenarios where dual tasking can enhance performance.
  3. Learn strategies to implement dual tasking in training drills.
  4. Explore methods to increase task complexity gradually.
  5. Learn how to design drills that challenge both cognitive and motor skills.
  6. Understand the balance between task difficulty and athlete capability.
